Generation Church @ Sylva, Inc. Leadership

Generation Church @ Sylva, Inc. is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our leadership team and their qualifications for ministry.

Pastor Donald and Wendy Lott

Lead Pastors


Donald and Wendy Lott have been in full-time ministry for 24 years and were appointed to serve as Generation Church @ Sylva, Inc.'s lead pastors in March of 2017. They have served pastoring church from the Smokey Mountains of North Carolina to the Plains of Colorado. Donald and Wendy have served children in both rural and inner city communities from East to West as U.S. Missionaries for the past 8 years. They are also the co-founders of Generations Kids, Inc., a faith-based non-profit for children in low income communities.

In their spare time, Donald enjoys photography, playing the guitar and working on home renovation projects, while Wendy loves to crochet, play the piano, and go paddle-boarding. They often go hiking and always enjoy finding new adventures together!

Donald and Wendy have been happily married for 34 years. Their son Winston lives with his wife Abigail in Vermont.

Jeremy and Tammy Duke

Children's Pastors

Jeremy and Tammy started dating in 1994 while in high school and attended youth group with Pastor Donald and Wendy Lott as their Youth Pastors at Trinity Assembly of God in Franklin, NC.

When Pastor Donald and Wendy started kid’s church at Trinity AG, Jeremy and Tammy joined their team. After the Lotts' moved out west, Jeremy and Tammy served as the Children’s Pastors at Trinity AG. The door to reunite with their mentors the Lotts opened up in 2018 when Jeremy and Tammy were asked to be the Children’s Pastors at Generation Church.

They love to explore the Smoky Mountains, especially Cherokee and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Jeremy usually has a silly t-shirt on and enjoys basketball, photography and hanging out with puppets (that should explain a lot). Tammy is a Physical Therapist Assistant; she loves to sing and sit on the porch in the swing. It may be hard to tell which is a bigger “Disney Freak”, but its safe to say they are both crazy for all things Disney.

After 6 and a half years of dating, Jeremy and Tammy got married in 2000 and had a daughter, Emilee in 2004. Emilee is apart of the Generation Kids Church team; the “next generation”.

Abigail Lott

Administrative Assistant

Abbie met Pastor Donald and Wendy's son Winston in Portland, OR in the fall of 2015 and married him in early 2017. With a background in banking and administrative work, Abbie enjoys working in an office, but prefers early morning coffee with Jesus, afternoon walks with Winston, and late evening movies with a fuzzy blanket and a warm spot on the couch.

Currently they reside together in Sylva, NC.
